This section contains complete guides explaining how to accomplish specific tasks in CData Arc.

Example MFT Connections

Arc uses the same configuration approach for many different types of Managed File Transfer connections (AS2, AS4, OFTP, SFTP, etc). The AS2, AS4, and OFTP configuration guides detail the two-step process of configuring a local profile and then configuring a single connector for a trading partner. You can use these guides as comprehensive resources for establishing your own AS2, AS4, or OFTP connections, or as general examples of how MFT trading relationships are established with Arc.

Example EDI Workflows

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) mapping is one of the Arc core features. This section includes three in-depth guides for EDI mapping, two for incoming documents (mapped to Excel and to a flat file) and one for outgoing documents (mapped from database output). These guides are intended to be comprehensive resources for creating your own similar mapping flows. In addition, you can reference these guides as general examples for how custom workflows are built in Arc to address specific business use cases.

Migration and Backup

This section contains instructions on backing up or migrating Arc configuration, logging, and transaction data. In addition to the practical applications of the guide, use this section as a reference to help understand how the application reads and writes data to the local filesystem and to application databases.
